## Ethics & Publishing Policies

CPS (Conference Proceedings of Science) adheres to international standards of academic integrity, publishing ethics, and peer-review practices. The journal aligns its policies with the guidelines of COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) to ensure transparency, fairness, and accountability in all stages of the publication process.

### **1. Originality & Plagiarism**
• All submitted manuscripts must be original and not previously published.
• Submissions must not be under consideration by another journal or publisher.
• Plagiarism, self-plagiarism, text overlap, and data fabrication are strictly prohibited.
• CPS may reject or retract any paper proven to involve unethical academic conduct.
• Similarity checks are performed through Turnitin/iThenticate when required.

### **2. Authors’ Responsibilities**
• Ensure that the manuscript reflects accurate and verifiable scientific data.
• Declare any conflicts of interest or funding sources that may influence the study.
• Respond to reviewers’ comments professionally and in a timely manner.
• Submit the final camera-ready version according to CPS formatting standards.

### **3. Peer Review Policy**
• All conference submissions are subject to editorial screening and technical evaluation.
• Peer review is conducted in cooperation with the scientific committee of partner conferences.
• CPS reserves the right to request revisions, improvements, or clarification from authors.
• Final publishing decisions are made by the editorial board.

### **4. Conference Organizer Responsibilities**
• Conduct initial plagiarism screening before submission to CPS.
• Provide the list of accepted papers and authors in the required format.
• Ensure that manuscripts are prepared according to CPS template and standards.
• Work in coordination with CPS for assigning DOIs and preparing metadata.

### **5. Retraction & Withdrawal**
CPS may retract a published article in cases of:
• Proven plagiarism or duplicated publication
• Ethical or legal violations
• Fabricated or manipulated data
• Author request (with justification and board approval)

Retraction notices are clearly marked and remain part of the permanent record.

### **6. Copyright & License**
• Authors retain copyright of their work.
• Articles are published under **Creative Commons CC BY 4.0 License**.
• Content may be shared or reused with proper citation to the original authors and CPS.
